It's easy to start lessons at our studio!

1. Check the lesson schedule to see what lessons are convenient for you.

2. Call, e-mail or come in to find out if the lesson time & days are open.  Some lesson times might be closed, full, taking sign-ups, or have prerequisites.

3. Just come in about 15 minutes prior to your first lesson.  We'll have you fill out the paperwork (which only takes 5 minutes).  If you're under 18 years old, we'll need a parent/guardian signature to get you started.

4. For students with prior ballet experience, we give a placement evaluation at no charge or obligation.  We will assess the student to find out which levels will give them the most value, challenge, and opportunity for advancement.  This placement evaluation is usually done by Richard Hirschl himself.

Students usually begin lessons the beginning of a month.  We move students up on an individual basis, so there is no "beginning or ending" season.

Within 3 weeks of starting, you will have an introductory meeting with Mr. Hirschl to discuss and clarify mutual goals and expectations.  This applies to all new students, and parents of all new students under 16 years of age.  We want everyone to get off on the right foot!

WHAT TO WEAR:

1. For ladies in levels “Preparatory” through level 6 ballet: solid color black leotard (no prints, skirts, attached or otherwise), pink tights, and pink ballet shoes.

2. No baggy clothing. Tight-fitting, solid black dance warm-ups may be worn at teacher discretion.

3. For tap, lyrical, hip-hop, jazz and adult levels of dance: solid colored tight-fitting dance attire.

4. Hair, for ballet levels one through six: up in a proper bun before the lesson begins.

5. Hair, for “Preparatory” and “Primary” dance, jazz, tap and adult dance: up and off the face.

6. Clothing for gentlemen: check with the instructor.

When you sign up you'll get a studio Policy Sheet that will explain everything you need to know about tuition and general studio policies.  if you ever have any questions, comments or concerns, contact Mr. Hirschl personally & directly at your earliest convenience!
